Gestura Index is a free, optional service for sharing Gestura menus and search engines — website menus, quick searches and links that Gestura users configure and want to share with others.

Sync your settings If you use Gestura on several devices, you can sync your settings. Encryption happens on your device: the index stores unreadable ciphertext only and knows neither the key nor the identifier behind it.

Complete on the server — available with the upcoming version of the extension.

Relationship to the extension

The Gestura browser extension works entirely on its own. Nothing in the extension depends on this index being reachable: menus and engines can always be exported and imported directly as files, with no server involved. This site only adds a convenient way to discover and share them.

Using the index is entirely optional and free of charge. There is no obligation to submit anything here, and browsing, searching and downloading entries requires no account.

Data minimalism

No account, no e-mail, no IP addresses. Downloads are counted as an anonymous number only. For settings sync, the index sees encrypted data exclusively — and stores the identifier it lives under as a checksum only.

Source code

Gestura Index is open source. The backend, frontend, and the shared exchange-format schema all live in one public repository.

The project is licensed under the AGPL-3.0-or-later.
